Rhythm Core
Web tool to learn microtiming and generate complex rhythms
RhythmCore is a learning tool based on the microtiming theory developed by professor and percussionist Diego Occhiali.
The tool uses web technology but to get complete control on audio generation and manipulation we based its core on Cycling '74 RNBO library.
The tool presents a series of lessons that break down the concepts of the Rhythmic Cell and the Cell Grid as fundamental building blocks for rhythm creation
It uses a simple, interactive canvas to clearly convey each concept on a sequential learning pattern, along with a playground environment. The playground brings all the concepts together, allowing users to experiment freely with microtiming.
