Fondazione Pro Canale is a no profit foundation that manages a collection of fine historic string instruments.
To preserve and publish them we developed a digital museum as a way to document their appearance and their sound.
The web architecture is divided into the Museum, where 3d replicas of the string are manipulable and audible, and the Archive where Xrays, HD photo, technical drawings and the history of the instrument are accessible.
After multiples iterations we switched from a more complex and rich design of the ambience to a more balanced composition, focusing the attention on the instruments.
